Signe garners media attention, new look for the sheltered corridor

Our project at Mannerheimintie 14 has brought a major change to the cityscape of downtown Helsinki and garnered a lot of attention in social and traditional media. For instance, the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle has published an article about it. Our Signe project is one the more often photographed places in Helsinki!

The demolition underway now will last till the end of August 2024. As much as 99% of the materials will be reused or recycled; for example, the granite facade panels will have a new life as the flooring of the roof terrace of the new Signe building constructed at the same site. Signed is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2026.

New look at the pedestrian and cycle crossing

The building site has also brought changes to traffic arrangements, and a sheltered corridor has been built for pedestrians and cycles at the site. Now the walls in this corridor have a new look with new surfaces and illustrations. The look of the walls protecting the parking facility ramps on Kalevankatu will also be renewed soon.
