The laying of Signe’s foundation stone October 30, 2024
This week historic moments were experienced at the Signe site. The ongoing construction project at Mannerheimintie 14 is progressing as planned, and the laying of Signe’s foundation stone was celebrated on Wednesday, 30th October.
Signe, which will be completed at the end of 2026, will attract new companies and services to the centre of Helsinki. This is important from the point of view of the city’s development, as well. The Mayor of the city of Helsinki, Juhana Vartiainen, drew attention to the matter in his speech.
In addition to Mayor Vartiainen and Sponda’s CEO Christian Hohenthal, Jatke Group’s group director Hannu Anttonen and PwC’s COO Kati Tammilehto gave speeches at the event.
Signe’s anchor tenant will be the consulting and auditing company PwC. The company is moving its HQ to the centre of Helsinki. In its choice of premises, PwC emphasised the sustainability and quality features of its new office, as well as the central location. The facilities have been designed in such a way that they support the diverse working needs and ways of PwC’s employees.
